haywood fudd

Haywood Fudd had been pulling literary stunts for years before we were introduced. For Christmas 2023, Fudd sent a personalized letter to all 225 residents of Bliss, Idaho. Fudd and I use the same book printer. When I picked up a manuscript from Mike the Printer, he had just finished up printing off a collection of letters that Fudd compiled for his family. Mike the Printer told me he gave Fudd a collection of my essays, and that Fudd thought they were funny. So I started writing Fudd letters. And he started writing them back to me.

We kept it up for two years before we finally met.
